Tras cinco años de espera (la historia aquí), y para celebrar el 10º Aniversario de Red Karaoke y que ya hemos superado los 10 millones de miembros registrados, tenemos el placer de presentar el nuevo “Estudio de Grabación” de nuestra página web: un diseño atractivo y mucho más fácil de usar, con más rapidez de carga y ultra velocidad en guardar y publicar grabaciones y vídeos, y con algunas funciones inéditas que encantarán a los usuarios de nuestra web.

Aunque en los últimos años hemos estado muy enfocados en la mejora de nuestras apps móviles hasta convertirlas en una de las referencias mundiales, en Red Karaoke no olvidamos nuestros orígenes: nuestra empresa nació como una página web, y es algo que nunca dejaremos de lado mientras haya usuarios interesados en nuestro servicio. La verdad es que la web se había quedado un poco atrás en cuando a las posibilidades técnicas que ofrecía, y llevábamos años queriendo mejorarla. Y el año de nuestro 10º Aniversario ha sido la excusa perfecta.

En este artículo os vamos a contar todas las novedades de este cambio tan importante para los usuarios de nuestra web. Los cambios son los siguientes:

MEJOR RENDIMIENTO: MÁS RÁPIDO, MÁS LIGERO
El nuevo sistema se ha desarrollado con tecnología HTML 5, que se caracteriza por ser un estándar, y estar integrada “de serie” en los navegadores más modernos, como Chrome o Firefox. Esto hace que la carga del Estudio de Grabación sea más rápida que con el sistema Flash, y consume menos memoria RAM y menos tiempo de procesador. Así el proceso es mucho más fluido y eficiente.

Pero además de la mayor rapidez de carga, nuestro equipo ha trabajado también para reducir los tiempos de publicación de vídeos y grabaciones en la web. Sabemos que esperar es molesto, así que lo hemos acortado considerablemente (más de un 60%) para poder dedicar más tiempo a cantar y participar de la comunidad. Para conseguirlo, hemos trasladado parte del procesado del vídeo a nuestros servidores, lo que hará que el vídeo tarde uno o dos minutos en estar disponible para su visualización, pero a cambio el cantante queda liberado para seguir cantando sin esperas innecesarias, como ya ocurría en nuestras aplicaciones móviles.

DESCARGA PRIVADA DE GRABACIONES Y VÍDEOS
Antes la única opción para poder descargar una grabación o un vídeo era grabarlo, publicarlo en la web, y sólo entonces se podía descargar. Ahora, en cambio, el cantante tiene la opción de guardar en privado directamente en el Estudio de Grabación, lo que significa poder descargar el vídeo directamente sin publicarlo en Red Karaoke. Esto ofrece más flexibilidad a los usuarios y el proceso de guardar una grabación en su computador es mucho más sencillo.

NUEVAS FUNCIONES: EFECTOS DE VÍDEO Y EDICIÓN DE AUDIO
Dentro de las características más espectaculares de este nuevo Estudio de Grabación destacan dos por su dificultad técnica y los espectaculares resultados que proporcionan. En primer lugar, hemos añadido EFECTOS DE VÍDEO para mejorar así los videoclips de nuestros usuarios. Por el momento hay 16 efectos disponibles, algunos para mejorar la imagen y otros para añadir un poco de fantasía a nuestras grabaciones. En esa misma pantalla, además, se puede cambiar de cámara en caso de tener más de una conectada, y por supuesto apagarla para grabar sólo con audio. 

El otro gran cambio es la Edición de Audio, que se ve potenciada con varias mejoras SIEMPRE QUE EL USUARIO CANTE CON AURICULARES: añadimos una herramienta de BALANCE para cambiar de forma sencilla, y en tiempo real, el volumen de música y voz; mejoramos radicalmente la sincronización entre música y voz, que ahora casi nunca falla, pero por si acaso hemos remodelado totalmente la herramienta de sincronización para hacerla mucho más precisa y fácil de usar; para los más profesionales, incluso tenemos gráficas de música y voz por separado; y por supuesto, mantenemos los viejos efectos de voz, que esperamos complementar con nuevos efectos muy pronto.

CAMBIO DE TECNOLOGÍA Y COMPATIBILIDAD
El nuevo “player” o Estudio de Grabación es el corazón de la web de Red Karaoke, el software que permite reproducir karaokes y vídeos de YouTube, y grabarse cantando en audio y vídeo utilizando cualquier computadora. Hasta ahora eso se hacía a través de tecnología Flash, lo que obligada a instalarse este “plug in”o añadido al navegador, pero a partir de ahora ya no será necesario porque el nuevo sistema utiliza tecnología estándar HTML 5.

Aquellos que prefieran el viejo sistema porque les resulta más cómodo, o los que utilicen navegadores no compatibles (como Safari, Microsoft Explorer y Edge), podrán seguir usando el viejo “player” Flash sin problema. En el caso de navegadores no compatibles ni siquiera podrán cargar el nuevo software, con lo que ni notarán la diferencia, y todo funcionará igual que hasta ahora. Los que sí usen navegadores compatibles, como los usuarios de Chrome o Firefox, verán cargarse por defecto el nuevo Estudio de Grabación, pero podrán si lo desean usar el “player” clásico pulsando un botón visible en la parte inferior derecha de la pantalla.

OTRAS “PEQUEÑAS” MEJORAS
Aparte de los grandes cambios, hemos añadido algunas no-tan-pequeñas mejoras de las que apenas se notan al principio, pero que nos facilitan la vida al cantar. Por ejemplo, ahora cuando se abre el Estudio de Grabación, éste se pone siempre a pantalla completa. Eso nos permite ver la letra a mayor tamaño (con la opción adicional de incrementar el tamaño de la letra en los karaokes de catálogo propio), y nos obliga a centrar la atención en cantar, sin otras distracciones. Todo se ve más claro y grande con esta pantalla.

Cuando se empieza a cantar, también hay una línea de tiempo que marca cuánto llevamos cantado, y cuánto queda por cantar, todo ello visible de forma discreta en la parte inferior de la pantalla.

A los que graban en vídeo, quizá les sorprenda un poco que ahora, a diferencia de como ocurría con el sistema anterior, el player nos muestra el vídeo en modo “espejo”. Es decir, nos veremos en la cámara como si estuviéramos ante un espejo, lo que hace la grabación más natural. De hecho, este modo espejo es un estándar en la mayor parte de programas de grabación de vídeo, de vídeoconferencia, aplicaciones móviles, etc.., Por supuesto, no hay que preocuparse del vídeo final, porque mágicamente el vídeo final se mostrará tal y como se grabó, sin el efecto espejo.

Otra cosa que ha mejorado es el vúmetro, el elemento gráfico que indica el volumen de sonido de nuestro micrófono, y que ahora incorpora un aviso para cuando el sonido del micro esté demasiado saturado.

El usuario también podrá ahora elegir la imagen previa de su vídeo o de su grabación de audio, eligiendo una captura del propio vídeo, tomando una nueva fotografía con la webcam, o incluso subiendo una foto desde su disco duro si lo prefiere.

Por último, pero no menos importante, hemos doblado la calidad de grabación de los vídeos, el estándar anterior era claramente insuficiente para los tiempos actuales.

Al final, el objetivo de todo esto es que todos podamos cantar de forma más sencilla, rápida y eficiente desde nuestros computadores, y al mismo tiempo disponer de herramientas más potentes de edición y mejora para obtener unas grabaciones de más calidad, más impactantes, más divertidas, y que todos estemos orgullosos de compartir. Esperamos que lo disfrutéis… ¡y FELIZ 10º ANIVERSARIO! 🎂

After five years of the last big improvement in our website, and to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Red Karaoke and we have already surpassed the 10 million registered members, we are pleased to introduce the new “Recording Studio” for our website: a new beautiful look & feel much easier to use, faster loading and ultra speed saving and publishing recordings and videos, and with some unprecedented features that will delight users of our website.

Although in recent years we have been very focused on improving our mobile apps to become one of the world leaders of the market, we do not forget our origins: Red Karaoke was born as a web page, and it is something that we will never leave aside, while there are users interested in our service. The truth is that the web had stayed a little behind in the technical possibilities offered, and we had been wanting to improve it for years. And the year of our 10th Anniversary has been the perfect excuse.

In this article we will tell you all the news of this change so important for the users of our website. The changes are as follows:

AN IMPROVED PERFORMANCE: FASTER & LIGHTER
The new system has been developed with HTML 5 technology, a standard that comes integrated in modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox or Opera. The use of HTML 5 makes the Recording Studio loads faster than with the previous Flash system, and consumes less RAM and less processor time. Thus the process is much more fluid and efficient.

But in addition to the faster loading, our team has also worked to reduce the time of video and recordings postings on the web. We know that waiting is annoying, so we have shortened it considerably (more than 60%) in order to spend more time singing and participating in the community. To achieve this, we have transferred part of the video processing to our servers, which will make the video take one or two minutes to be available for viewing, but in return the singer is released to continue singing without unnecessary waits.

PRIVATE DOWNLOAD OF RECORDINGS AND VIDEOS
With the previous system, the only option to be able to download a recording or a video was to record it, publish it on the web, and only then could it be downloaded. Now, instead, the singer has the option to save in private directly in the Recording Studio, which means to be able to download the video directly without publishing it in Red Karaoke. This offers more flexibility to users and the process of saving a recording on your computer is much simpler.

NEW FEATURES: VIDEO EFFECTS & AUDIO EDITION
Among the most spectacular features of this new Recording Studio stand out two because of their technical difficulty and the spectacular results they provide. First of all, we have added VIDEO EFFECTS to improve our users’ video clips. At the moment there are 16 effects available, some to improve the image and others to add a bit of fantasy to our recordings. In that same screen, in addition, you can change the camera if you have more than one connected, and of course turn it off to record with audio only.

The other big change is the Audio Edition, which is enhanced with several improvements (only when you record with headphones, of course): we add a BALANCE tool to change the volume of music and voice in a simple way, in real time; we radically improve the synchronization between music and voice, which now almost never fails, but just in case we have completely remodeled the synchronization tool to make it much more accurate and easy to use; for the more professional, we even have music and voice graphic charts separately; and of course, we keep the old voice effects, which we will complement with new effects very soon.

CHANGE OF TECHNOLOGY & COMPATIBILITY
The new  Recording Studio is the heart of the Red Karaoke website, the software that allows you to play karaokes and videos from YouTube, and record yourself singing in audio and video using any computer. So far this was done through Flash technology, which forced to install this “plug in” in your browser, but from now on will no longer be necessary because the new system uses standard technology HTML 5.

Those who prefer the old system because they don’t like changes, or those who use unsupported browsers (such as Safari, Microsoft Explorer and Edge), can continue to use the old Flash player without problem. In the case of unsupported browsers they will not even be able to load the new software, so they will not even notice the difference, and everything will work the same as it has until now. Those who do use compatible browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox or Opera users, will see the new Recording Studio loaded by default, but they can use the classic player by pressing a visible button in the bottom right of the screen.

OTHER “SMALL” IMPROVEMENTS
Apart from the big changes, we have added some not-so-small improvements that are barely noticeable at first, but that make life easier for us to sing. For example, now when the Recording Studio is opened, it is always put the browser to FULL SCREEN. That allows us to see the lyrics at a larger size (with the additional option of increasing the font size in our own karaokes), and forces us to focus on singing without other distractions. Everything looks clearer and bigger with this screen.

When you begin to sing, there is also a TIMELINE that marks how much we have sung, and how much remains to sing, all visible discreetly at the bottom of the screen.

To those who record in video, it may surprise them a little that now, unlike as with the previous system, the player shows us the video in “MIRROR MODE“. That is, we will see ourselves in the camera as if we were in front of a mirror, which makes the recording more natural. In fact, this mirror mode is a standard in most video recording programs, video conferencing, mobile applications, etc. Of course, there is no need to worry about the final video, because magically the final video will be shown properly, as recorded, without the mirror effect.

Another thing that got a small improvement is the VU meter, the graphic element that indicates the volume of sound of our microphone, and that now incorporates a warning zone when the sound of the micro is too saturated.

The user can now choose the thumbnail of their video or audio recording, choosing a capture of the video itself, taking a new picture with the webcam, or even uploading a photo from your hard disk if you prefer.

Last but not least, we have doubled the recording quality of the videos, the previous standard was clearly insufficient for the current times.

In the end, the goal of all this is that we can sing more easily, quickly and efficiently from our computers, and at the same time have more powerful editing tools and improvements to get a record of more quality, more impactful, more fun, and that we are all proud to share.

Hoy lanzamos una pequeña novedad en nuestra web de karaoke online, que esperamos os resulte útil. Hasta ahora nuestra web se había enfocado únicamente en las opciones de cantar y grabar karaokes, y toda la experiencia giraba en torno a la grabación. Eso podía resultar frustrante si lo que querías era cantar sin grabar, o si querías organizar una fiesta de karaoke en casa con amigos o familia. Todo el proceso de grabación y edición, y la configuración de cámara y micro, podía resultar muy pesado si no quieres grabar.

Por eso hoy lanzamos el modo FIESTA DE KARAOKE, con el que se podrá no sólo cantar sin parar y sin grabar, si no también hacer uso de las “playlist”, y también realizar búsquedas directamente dentro del sistema de reproducción. De este modo, se eliminan elementos superfluos y pasos innecesarios, y se puede organizar una fiesta de karaoke en la que cantar sin parar.

Este modo Fiesta también puede servir para ensayar, o simplemente para cantar por el placer de hacerlo sin la “tiranía” de la grabación. Esperamos que el modo Fiesta de karaoke sea de vuestro agrado.

Ah, por si alguien duda de dónde probarlo, sólo tenéis que darle a cantar cualquier karaoke, y en la pantalla podréis elegir entre la opción de Estudio de Grabación y el modo Fiesta. Así de fácil.

Last Friday we launched a new feature for our online karaoke: the KARAOKE PARTY MODE.

Until now, our website was focused only to Sing & Record audios and videos, to share them with the online community. All the experience in our web was developed around the recording system. So, if you wanted to just sing without recording, or to throw a karaoke party with friends, the experience could be frustrating. All the recording and edition process, and the configuration of webcam and microphone, needs too many time when you are just singing for fun without recording: all the processes are unnecessary when you are in that situation.

So, we decided to develop a new mode to avoid all the recording steps, with the goal to have non-stop singing feature, where we can use playlists and also to search songs even inside the “player”. It is like a karaoke machine, but in your computer, fast and easy to use to throw your karaoke party or for your own rehearsals.

You can find this new Karaoke Party mode just clicking over the Sing button of any karaoke. Once the placer opens, you can choose between the Recording Studio or the Karaoke Party modes.

Of course, if you want to use this mode in your mobile or tablet, you can download our Karaoke Party app, and you will be able to connect your device to your smartTV devices.

Nuestro proyecto siempre ha tenido ambición global, y hoy damos un paso más en el objetivo de ampliar la comunidad mundial para los que nos gusta cantar, con el lanzamiento de nuestras aplicaciones móviles “Sing & Record by Red Karaoke” en Ruso e Italiano, tanto para dispositivos iOS (iPhone y iPad) como para Android (teléfonos y tabletas).

Pero como traducir las aplicaciones no es suficiente, también hemos firmados acuerdos con productores de karaoke y editoriales musicales locales para añadir miles de nuevos karaokes a nuestro catálogo. Desde hoy, tenemos más de 2.500 nuevos temas en Italiano, y más de 10.000 karaokes en Ruso.

En estas fiestas tan entrañables en las que pasamos más tiempo con familia y amigos, uno de los entretenimientos más habituales es el karaoke. Y aunque hace tiempo que en Red Karaoke lanzamos Karaoke Party, nuestra aplicación móvil para organizar fiestas y enviar contenido a la TV, teníamos pendiente mejorar también la experiencia de organizar fiestas usando nuestra web y un modesto computador.

Para ello hemos hecho algunos pequeños cambios de diseño, y hemos añadido una funcionalidad nueva espectacular, única en su género y especialmente pensada para organizar fiestas de karaoke en casa sin limitarse al computador: ¡vas a poder ver tus karaokes en una pantalla externa de gran tamaño!

Ahora, la opción de cantar con Karaoke o Sing Along se elige antes de ir a cantar, bien en la portada de la web o en los listados de canciones. Y una vez eliges lo que quieres cantar y pulsas sobre el botón, se carga la primera pantalla de nuestro estudio de reproducción / grabación de karaokes, con este aspecto:

El sistema ofrece la opción de usar el Estudio de Grabación, que es la forma tradicional de Red Karaoke para cantar y grabar, o usar el Modo Fiesta. Este modo, que ya ofrecíamos antes, permite cantar con rapidez e incluso buscar canciones de forma sencilla sin salir del Estudio.

Pero ahora, además, se añade un botón extra: “Abrir el visor en ventana nueva”.  Al pulsar en ese botón se abre una nueva ventana del navegador, que será donde se reproduzcan los karaokes. De este modo, podemos seguir buscando canciones mientras otra persona canta, de forma que la fiesta seguirá sin pausas para buscar.

Si conectamos un monitor o TV adicional a nuestro computador, podremos utilizar el modo “Extender las pantallas” o escritorio extendido para mostrar esa segunda ventana con el karaoke, mientras en la pantalla de nuestro computador gestionamos la búsqueda de karaokes y podemos hacer pausas, parar y poner en marcha otra canción, etc..

En resumen, el sistema funciona ahora casi como si fuera un programa de karaoke profesional. Aún quedan cosas por mejorar, como la reproducción de “playlists” o listas de reproducción usando este sistema, pero esperamos que lo disfrutéis y os sirva para mejorar vuestras fiestas de karaoke esta Navidad.

These holidays we spend more time with family and friends, and one of the most common entertainment is karaoke. And although Red Karaoke launched some time ago Karaoke Party, our mobile application to send contents to TVs, we wanted to improve the experience of singing with friends using our website with just a computer.

So we have made some small changes in the look & feel of our website, and we added a spectacular and unique new functionality, specially designed to throw karaoke parties at home without being limited to the computer: you will be able to watch your karaokes on a large external screen!

The option of singing with Karaoke or Sing Along is now chosen before going to sing, either on the front page of the website or in the song listings. And once you choose what you want to sing and click on the button, the first screen of our “karaoke / recording studio” system is loaded:

The system offers the option of using the Recording Mode, which is the traditional form of Red Karaoke to sing and record, or use the Party Mode. This mode, which we already offered before, allows you to sing quickly and even search for songs easily without leaving the Studio.

But now, in addition, an extra button is added: “Open viewer in a new window”. Clicking on that button opens a new browser window, which will be where the karaokes are played. In this way, we can continue searching for songs in the main screen while another person sings, so that the party will continue without pauses to search.

If we connect an additional monitor or TV to our computer, we can use the mode “Extend these displays” or extended desktop of the operating system to show that second window with karaoke, while on the screen of our computer we keep searching new songs and we can pause, stop and launch another karaoke, etc.

In summary, the system now works almost as if it were a professional karaoke program. There are still things to improve, like the reproduction of “playlists” or playlists using the new feature, but we hope you enjoy it and it will help you to improve your karaoke parties this holidays.

Hay pocas cosas más terribles para un cantante que quedarse de repente sin voz y que todo el mundo se le quede mirando con la mano en la boca pensando “Oh my god” . O que empiece a cantar fuera de tono, o sin fuerza suficiente, o con dudas.  Esto se puede evitar si calientas tu voz antes de salir al escenario.

Hay muchas técnicas para calentar la voz, pero nosotros queremos darte unos sencillos pasos para que lo puedas hacer de forma sencilla y rápida antes de lanzarte a cantar.

1º Bosteza, bosteza como si llevases dos días sin dormir. Oblígate a hacerlo suavemente, piensa en gente bostezando y te saldrá solo, esto abrirá tu garganta y tu diafragma si lo repites dos o tres veces.

2º Medita en la posición del loto🧘‍♀️. Bueno vale, dejemos el loto a un lado y quedémonos con el mantra. Empieza como un monje shaolin con un “mmm” profundo y grave mientras exhalas y repítelo entre 5 y 10 veces. Haz lo mismo con la boca abierta cambiando las “mmm” por “aaa”. Esto calentará y relajará los músculos de tu garganta y te ayudará a controlar tu respiración.

3º Tararea la escala “do re mi…“, hazlo de forma ascendente y descendente, empezando por tu rango más grave de voz y subiendo un tono cada vez que la termines. Repítelo varias veces.

4º Por último, vibra…, no todo, solo los labios, puedes imitar un motor o una trompetilla, el caso es vibrar los labios subiendo y bajando el tono varias veces para terminar de calentar tu voz.

Con estos sencillos pasos seguro que no te quedarás sin voz en mitad de la canción y además tendrás menos posibilidades de lesionarte cantando. Así que coge el micro ¡¡¡y a por ellos!!!

One of the most terrible nightmares of a singer is to lose suddenly his voice at the stage, and that everyone looks at him with his hand in his mouth thinking “Oh my god” . Or that begins to sing out of tune, or without sufficient strength, or with doubts. This can be avoided if you warm your voice before going on stage.

There are many techniques to warm up the voice, but we want to give you some easy steps so that you can do it in a simple and quick way before you start singing.

1. Yawn, yawn as if you have not slept for two days. Oblige to do it gently, think of people yawning and you will come out alone, this will open your throat and your diaphragm if you repeat it two or three times.

2. Meditate on lotus position🧘‍♀️. Well, let’s leave the lotus aside and let’s keep the mantra. Start as a Shaolin monk with a deep and serious “mmm” as you exhale and repeat it between 5 and 10 times. Do the same with your mouth open by changing the “mmm” to “aaa”. Te pones nervios@ y pasas 3 horas eligiendo la canción que vas a cantar, y cuando te toca el turno de subir a escena estás como un flan y se avecina un desastre.

Esto puede evitarse, y convertirse en una noche triunfal de karaoke que se recordará  entre tus compañeros de oficina durante años. Sólo necesitas un poco de preparación previa y algunos consejos muy sencillos. Te explicamos cómo:

1º La canción de karaoke perfecta
No hay una canción de karaoke perfecta. Pero lo que sí hay es una canción de karaoke perfecta para ti, para tus características como cantante. Lo más importante de todo es que elijas dos o tres canciones que estén dentro de tu rango vocal y que conozcas muy bien para aprendértelas. Es importante que llegues cómodamente a las notas altas sin gritar y a las bajas sin forzar la voz. Estúdialas y practícalas como si te fuesen a hacer un examen. Debes sabértelas de memoria, mirar la letra mientras cantas queda fatal en el escenario y además te despistará.

Estas dos o tres canciones son las que siempre que no tengas nada preparado cantarás en un karaoke, así que deben ser canciones populares para asegurarte que estén siempre disponibles en todos los karaokes. 2º Haz tuya la canción
Por muy buena voz que tengas, no podrás brillar si no tienes ni idea de qué significa la letra de la canción. Si sientes lo que cantas, o entiendes lo que está contando, te resultará infinitamente más sencillo llegar a la gente. Cantar no es sólo tener buena voz, es sobre todo interpretar y transmitir emociones y sentimientos.

Entender la canción también es importante porque la letra debe ir contigo, algo chirriará en tu actuación si tienes 48 años y estás cantando que la vida es injusta porque te han pedido el carnet para entrar en la discoteca.

3º Quítate el miedo
Una vez tienes la canción que vas a interpretar solo queda subir al escenario y quedarte quieto mirando al público y sudando mientras se te ponen los nudillos blancos de apretar el micro… Oh wait!!!

Debes quitarte los temores. Piensa que la gente va a un karaoke a divertirse, no a escuchar a grandes cantantes y al final no moverte no mejorará tu actuación, más bien al contrario. Estás delante de amigos y nadie te va a juzgar, asi que suéltate un poco y recuerda que estás ahí sobre todo para divertirte. Calentar la voz antes de subir a escena también te ayudará a estar más seguro.

Nadie te pedirá que bailes, pero piensa que estás en la ducha si eso te ayuda a hacer algún que otro gesto, el bote de champú ya lo tienes…

Eso sí, ojo porque el miedo no te lo vas a quitar bebiendo. Con el alcohol sólo empeorarás tu voz y tendrás muchas más posibilidades de equivocarte y cometer errores, así que evítalo a toda costa antes de subirte al escenario.

Si sigues estos sencillos pasos, comprobarás que la próxima vez que vayas a un karaoke brillarás con luz propia.
